Tom Wiegand ![]() Tom Wiegand will be celebrating 10 years with the company this coming year. He is a vital part of our company's logistics. Tom stages equipment and gets jobs sites setup prior to night crews arriving. Tom also, works well with our underground crew preparing buried utilities at various sites. Keep up the great work Tom! We just finished up one of our downtown Columbus projects! Check it out in our latest video blog! REI was busy this week installing a 200 kilowatt generator at a Time Warner Cable substation located in Lancaster, OH. This was one of our larger generator installs that also included weeks of preparation, and plenty of planning as far as logistics were concerned. The substation sits atop a steep hill which made it challenging for delivery, but in the end everything went smoothly. With the installation of the larger generator, tens of thousands of TWC customers will rest easy knowing there won't be any outages in their services due to a power outage.
REI has been keeping busy at the new downtown office building located at 250 High Street. Crews have been installing electrical and cabling for Coyote/Diamler, and should be wrapping up next week.
REI crews continue to work and route communication cabling for our multiple floor project in downtown Columbus. Due to the specific interior design of the exposed cabling, our crews take considerable care in handling the cabling to ensure the outer jacket does not get damaged. You will also notice the number of cabling runs required for several floors and the rack locations placed in mechanical rooms for the final termination points.
Overall, the project is close to being finished and we will posting final pics in the upcoming weeks! REI crews continue to work and route communication cabling for their Baesman Printing Co. project. Crews will be finishing up the cable runs and preparing for the mechanical room installations.
Starting today, REI will be kicking off it's employee spotlight program where we will be introducing you to the men and women that help make our company successful!
